About the Artist
Robert Leedy, a Jacksonville native, graduated with a BFA in Art from Valdosta State University in 1979. Though he paints in a variety of mediums, watercolor is where his heart is. He is a member of The National Watercolor Society and The Georgia Watercolor Society along with past affiliations with Asociación Acuarelistas de Puerto Rico and The Indiana Plein Air Painters.

"NOW YOU'RE PAINTING!' Intermediate Level - Thursday PM 1:30-4:00
This class is designed for students with previous experience with watercolor painting and those comfortable with basic watercolor technique. There will be an emphasis on painting in a more loose and free manner while still maintaining good control of the painting. Bold color will also be explored. Working from a still life and/or photos, students will receive one-on-one instruction as well as group critiques and will be encouraged to work towards a personal style. A supply list will be provided.
'NO FEAR WATERCOLOR' Beginning Level - Thursday PM 6:00-8:30
This class takes the intimidation out of watercolor through an introduction and exploration of watercolor painting, materials and techniques. Students will learn basic brush strokes, how to mix colors, how to create a wash and how to deal with common problems that arise. Composition and design will be discussed. Students will work from a still life and will have individual instruction as well as group critiques. A supply list will be provided.
